The Challenge
The Music Network is one of the most prestigious magazines in the music industry. It was also strictly paper based – until HotHouse brought it online. The challenge and the opportunity here was to introduce a well-established traditional magazine to an online culture.
The HotHouse Solution
HotHouse proceeded to create a portal that services industry members while at the same time providing free content for other visitors, becoming the industry's main source of information on music news. HotHouse worked with internal staff to help bring their processes online while introducing new products such as "The Blackbook" for industry contacts; “The Gig Guide”; and the ability to sell online and paper subscriptions from the website.
Results
The Music Network is now the most popular music website in Australia. The site is intensely news driven and serves up to 2000 concurrent users a day
